ITALY. Venezia (Venice). Uncertain. Ducat (Gold, 21 mm, 3.47 g, 12 h), a contemporary eastern imitation, circa 16th century. St. Mark standing right, presenting banner to Doge kneeling left. Rev. Christ the Redeemer standing facing within mandorla with ten stars. A lovely imitation with curiously blundered legends. Holed, otherwise, extremely fine.
